How to Get Here

Visiting this beautiful but sometimes overlooked region of France couldn't be easier. Here is our travel guide to take the headache out of your journey.

Travelling By Air

The most convenient means of travel is flying from London Stansted Airport. In just 2 1/2 hours you can escape from the stress and strain of London life and be enjoying a chilled local Bergerac white.

Car hire is the most flexible way for you to explore the Dordogne and can be booked along with your flight.

Travelling By Car

The road network in France is, for the most part, both of a high quality and has an uncongested motorway system. This makes the option of travelling to the Dordogne by ferry and car a plesent possibility.

Most of the large ferry operators offer regular sailings to Roscoff, St Malo and Calais from a range of ports all over Britain. Check the websites of: P&O, Brittany Ferries, Condor and Hoverspeed for availability and to book tickets.

How to Find Us

Although we are situated in a rural part of the Dordogne, Les Granges is easily accessible from the city of Bordeaux, which itself has excellent road, rail and air links.

Generally we prefer to fly into Bergerac airport but although it would seem much further from Bordeaux Airport, the difference in driving time is approximately only 30 minutes.

Click on the map above for driving directions from Bordeaux (or Bergerac for that matter) to Les Granges. Use your favourite route mapping website to travel to the Dordogne if you are journeying overland, via the ferries.
